Bless Me Father...

As we move closer into the last few weeks of Lent, the days tend to get more tedious and tempers appear more on the quick and easy. The flavours of each day seems rather bland and a sort of heavy cloud of atmosphere seems to cling around me as I move from day to the next... :-P Maybe it is the amount of reconciliation which the East District priests are undergoing, this week with the schools and next week with the parishes: bless me Father for I have sin...

This morning itself we had one recon session with the boys at St Stephen's Primary School near OLPS Church. They were sincere, as much as I can gather, with their confession and when they finished, I can feel their *sigh of relief* as they scampered off back to their classes. :-)

As for someone who has yet to return the remote to our Sea Avenue church premises, I really wonder if confession would make any different to this person:

so it was you who place the jars of potted plants to prevent me from opening the gates with my spare remote....

now I must park elsewhere...

Our own people some more! Utterly incredible! *shake head* :-P

Whoever this "fc, hf cats" person is, should return the remote to the church. There is nothing to be terribly proud of to be holding the key to a property that does not belongs to you. This is intrusion of private property!

This is especially so if you are bound by the catholic faith.

When attending mass, we need to confess our sins "to almighty God, and to you my brothers and sisters". What is the point to say all these if we do not repent?

I am sure the church will forgive you if you were to just return the remote and apologise. Or you can just return to Father Aloysius. Then only Father will know... :-)

Just let the chap park lah. Clamp his wheels and make him pay 1 time jia lat jia lat. $1,000? Too little? $10,000? $100,000!!! That's when the chap will understand that when you say "return remote!", you mean bizness! Yes, never mess with fral! Hur hur hur. :)

And since it's Lent, can give a portion of the "collection" to the poor. Make sure it's done on a Friday - almsgiving for penance, an alternative to killing the fishes. :P

On hindsight, $100,000 may not be a practical amount. Nowadays gahment give out so many COEs, car prices so cheap. Fine him $100,000, he'd probably buy a new car instead. :P

Anyhow, I trust that you'd figure a decent amount. :)

Remember .. it is God doing the forgiving, not you :)

Phoof .. let that heavy cloud of atmosphere blow away from you

Not sure the "Phoof...." is meant for who. Anyway, it is too personnal a comment to made on the internet. It can result in chain of ugly exchanges.

Did not see any one use the word "I will forgive". The nearest that is "church will forgive". Anyway, no point arguing over the intepretation. Everyone all meant well in their own ways.

So let us all pray that the person will repent in this Lent period, and Father Aloysius will get his remote back; and to correctly say, that God will forgive him ... :-)

Fr. Aloy! Hmm... so I see. Now I understand why you used the word "a thief". Yes, indeed he's a thief. And to think that this thief has the cheek to post a comment on your blog making it sound like it was all your fault for blocking up his/her stolen parking lot!?!

Someone who can afford to drive but can't afford to pay for proper parking lots elsewhere. Talk about being cheapskate!

Hello Father,

its a joke la...I dun even own a car...did expect the readers to take it so seriously though...haha...

hmmm... was certainly wondering, earlier, if I shld take that seriously too. nonetheless, it was still immature of you doing a joke like that :-P

this is serious matter here. one shldn't play around with this! *shake head*

sorry bout that once again...

anyway, i think that the best way to catch this fella is to remove the pots and act as if nothing has happened.

then one fine night, when you see his car back at sea ave, you should use 1-2 bicycle chains to chain up the gates.

then, the only way for the thief to get this car out is to look for the office staff...

"fc, hf cats" - not a smart move to make this kind of joke on the internet ... especially when someone was jailed recently for 3 years (I think) for a bomb hoax.... and he did it because he is bored???!!!

Just imagine someone saw your "joke" and report to the police... you may end up having supper at the police station...
