So Holy Waaan...

We are now into Holy Week.

Today is the last day for penitential service at OLPS. Couldn't go for the morning one at 10.30 am as I had to settle some matters of importance in the Seminary. Anyway, psyched myself up for what I shall encounter during the night sessions at 7 and 9 p.m. later. We expect a higher amount of crowd and the time it will take may be longer than usual. Then again, if we follow the trend for this year's services thus far, over the past week, we noticed a significant drop of parishioners turning up for the penitential services at our East District parishes. Have a significant portion of our Catholic community suddenly became saints?... ;-)

Maundy Thursday with the occasion of the Chrism Mass over at Christ The King parish, in the morning, would be the priests turn for their confession. Pray that I make my good one.

Meanwhile, there is this tension in the air especially within my scope as I look into what I am getting myself into for the Easter celebrations: the Good Friday services, Exsultet, the baptisms, last minute confessions, paperwork to clear in the background, etc... I feel crammed and constipated! :-P

An interesting item I came across through the email today:
On Thursday 4th May next month, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. This will not ever happen again.

Anybody want to sit up and keep vigil to see through that 'unusual' event? You don't have to be holy to do that, by the way! :-) The next time this occurs again would be a thousand years from now. If you miss this one, you can take comfort with the alternative or second best event where it is 02:03:04 05/06/07. It is only next year! ;-)
