Confession (Photo credit: Lawrence OP) |
When I sit by the confessional booth, awaiting the next penitent. As with each waiting, I wonder if the penitents know the following: there is no such thing as a “bad” confession as long as you’ve come to the Sacrament with a contrite heart.
Around these weeks, there will be a series of penitential services in the Catholic churches and there will be queues of penitents waiting their turn to get the healing mercy and deliverance from God through his appointed priests that stand before Him, the people and the community.
Thus it won't hurt to know how to make a good confession, whether for this Advent period or during any other time. Fr Josh Miller offers some tips and they are good ones.
