Just recovering after a 3D2N trip to San Giovanni Rotondo where I went with 3 other friends to visit the shrine of St (Padre) Pio. The photos are already available here!
It was quite fun taking this Easter break and just enjoying the sights of some places, even if that had to be a shrine that seems to be growing in popularity. Rotondo reminded me of Fatima (another pilgrim site I visited 4 years ago) in terms of its ambience and setting: peaceful and not to crowded along the sanctuary area. We went there last Monday and came back on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, I am always a sucker for the underdog and this one is no exception. An ordinary lady (and Catholic to boot!) from Glasgow who loves to sings but never really taken seriously. That is, until now (a little news byte is here). Her performance is on Youtube and this is a real surprise...
