A Roma! (To Rome!)

It is the last night here as I penned this down. All my things are packed and only waiting for tomorrow to arrive where we would make our journey back to Rome.

It's been a whirlwind of a time here and it seemed like only yesterday that we came to Terni and to this Villa in particular. That's two and a half months gone already and we are now moving onto the near end of the year!

Earlier, we went over to Narni (Scalo), the town that is at the foot of the hill, where we had our closing Mass with the bishop of the diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia, Vincenzo Paglia. It was at the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ponte (Our Lady of the Bridge). It was hinted that Narni was the name which CS Lewis used for his mythical land of Narnia in the Narnia Chronicles. Apparently Lewis may have visited this place when he was a young boy with his parents. This hasn't been truly verified but it is interesting to note, as mentioned in the books, that when you are not especially looking for it, the place will show or present itself to you! ;-)

So, this is the last post in Terni. Thanks for all your prayers and your silent journey with me through these posts! More to be done ahead and I am anxious to get all that settled as soon as possible. Till the next one, arriverdeci and ci vediamo a Roma! :-D
