So, we have come to another end of a month. Tomorrow we start the middle of the year. Pentecost is around the corner and the whole issue of truth and what is the real thing we need to hold on to continue to be debated.
It is so simple today to just follow whatever fad or religion that so-call 'free' us to do or think whatever we like. These kinds of following may be 'kewl' or claim to have the real 'wisdom' but looking deeper they are no different from the rest of the dubious and sensational items peddled that are as pseudo, hollow and demented as the mind of the Marquis of Sade.
Meanwhile, it was with great sadness and condolences to the family of Father Todd Reitmeyer, whose link I have on this blog, on noting that he passed away in a tragic accident recently. His blog is entitled A Son Becomes a Father. An obvious play on the words of his coming-of-age to the priesthood then. That the Son returns to the Father is both sad and joyous shows just how fragile, and sometimes short, life can be. It sorts of puts all other polemic and debate into its proper place because at the end of the day, we face that great Judgment and be ask what have done with out lives to make life a little better for people who are God's creation. I'm sure Fr Todd did a great job! May his soul and the soul of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
