Today is St Blase and Ansgar day! Of the two, Blase is more well known for his association with the curing of sore throats or anything related to the ills of the throat. I feel a slight discomfort in my throat lately, perhaps due to the types of food I have downed during the Chinese New Year festivities. Since I am celebrating the evening mass later I wonder if the good saint may grant me this request to have this irritant to be eradicated.... :)
