Holy Week: Monday

This began casually enough. Had to celebrate the morning Mass. But first I had to go through the jittery business of putting on my contact for the right eye, trying not to let it fall off my eyeball. I am getting to be quite an expert now, though I never had a fetish for such item in the first place. Many others would swear by it for the "vain look" it tend to give.

The latter half of the day was spent at the Youth Center (Lorong Low Koon) among the other youth chaplains of the archdiocese. Among the main items of Youth Fest and World Youth Day, we also covered "a lady who stripped in front of the Blessed Sacrament in the adoration room", "a man who vacillates, in strange dance steps, between the statue of Mother Mary and St Joseph when he prays the rosary" and "a lady who dances and prances around the sanctuary while praying". I must say we had a very fruitful and engaging meeting of youth chaplains having to juggle "youthfool" matters with more solemn and serious matters. It's a wonder we don't suffer from schizophrenia!

Almost wanted to blade to "chill" out a little, during the late afternoon, as the weather was just nice for that purpose and the call of the ECP and the beach was rather tempting. But work beckons and sadly I shelved that thought. Now, after the day has ended and night has fallen, it's always a relief to be able to take a deep breath of appreciation for having gotten through the day without too much mishaps.

And, oh yes! Praise be to God for finishing the penitential services in one piece! The standing was rather tedious after a while. What made that tolerable were some of the "juicy" confessions I get the privilege to hear (and the burden of carrying all this to my grave)... *grin*

Too bad you cant share the 'goodness' of it (the juice) all eh? ;)

It's like... a bladder that can never burst? o_O - I know how it feels...

I guess.

Oh did you mention blading? If only you are willing to tolerate my company =p - I dont have much time left to " 'chill' out a lil' " - and if you wouldnt mind me overtaking you always =p
