Onward to Easter!
Holy Week. The holiest of all weeks known in the calendar. Much have transpired since the last posting.

Firstly, it looks like my the date for my ordination to the priesthood may be settled for June 29th, a Sunday evening affair. Already I am getting some things done in preparation for that day. Meanwhile, the Iraq war has lessened its intensity with Saddam toppled with some pockets of resistance to be dealt with. The SARS epidemic continues unabated and claims more lives.Then there is this local scandal with one of our priest having charge with CBT over a sum of S$4.3 million of church funds.

Looks like there are too many pessimistic situations of this sort that makes one wonder if all this is the beginning of an end?...

Anyway, doomsday saying aside, life more or less merrily carries on. The YCers (youth group) invited me to their seder meal last Saturday and we had a solemn, touching and enjoyable moment of eating, drinking and reflecting on our lives as who we are for others. That night was the longest meal I had ever endured. But through it all, there were fellowship and the sharing of our deepest thoughts and feelings about oneself and the situation we are in.

The triduum now beckons. Onward to Easter!
