Had put on the star on the Christmas tree in the office yesterday after going over to Concourse to buy one there. Wanted to get a few more decorations but decided against it. I had wanted to cut out the relevant Christmas symbols from used cards of Christmas past but never got round to doing it! :P
Now feeling a little excited with what is coming up ahead. Having to celebrate the 9.00 p.m. Christmas Mass, it is like being born premature into the celebrative mood. Anyway, it is still a celebration! What matters most is what we are celebrating about. This true meaning of Christmas can sometimes be missed or forgotten altogether when we allow the secondary festive mood and offerings like lights, stuffed turkey, presents, etc. to take precedent instead of the Christ Child and what he brings into the world and continues to do so even today.
I pray that I am able to celebrate and give the necessary joy of Christmas that all are yearning for from the bottom of their hearts and be able to help spread the cheer and gift of God's peace to one all.
