The retreat, for all it was worth, went relatively well with Fr Erasto as our Retreat Master. He gave a lot of pointers for all of us priests to reflect seriously upon. The points brought forward all centred along the lines of the Eucharist and how we as priests must make the presence of Christ relevant and palpable to the community of believers who are present there before us. It then begs the question from for us priests to ponder: how are we really making this present, as it is our duty and role given to us by virtue of our ordination?
As believers, all of us also are called to initiate that action in our daily lives, by whatever means available within our capabilities. If we but get down to spend more of our time to concretely see to this, we may be better off than wherever we find ourselves now. Dare we?...
