Lunar Eclipse, Dec 2011

A funny thing happened on the way to Punggol Point yesterday evening, Saturday, 10 December 2011...

It was the night of the lunar eclipse which was to be seen across Asia and SIngapore had a great and grand spot from earth to capture this event. The crowd over at Punggol Point, though small and sparse, never realise what was unfolding before their eyes and only realise later when the Moon began to darken and finally reached full eclipse in its, almost, red blooded glow.

A fellow amateur astronomer who was recording this event from the lawn of his home commented that it was a sight to behold and one that really speaks of God's creation and wonder. I cannot agree with him more!

Afternoon Delight!

If you are free today afternoon and have a knack for taking pictures of the skies and other heavenly bodies (I mean astronomical objects!), do go on outside and have a ball with an event happening today between 3.00 p.m. and 5.00. p.m.!
